Astana Women’s Team rider claims the first seasonal win with Northwave
Arlenis Sierra of Astana Women’s Team - entirely equipped with Northwave shoes - grabbed the first seasonal win in the 4th Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, in Geelong (Australia), on Saturday January 26th. Sierra also secured Northwave’s first road success of the season in the Women’s calendar.
The 26-year-old Cuban rider moved on the attack with 10 Km to go, soloing on the finish line. Behind the winner, Mitchelton Scott’s Lucy Kennedy and Amanda Spratt finished second and third respectively at 19 seconds.
Tomorrow, on Sunday January 27th, Astana Pro Team’s athletes will face the men’s race of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race with Northwave Extreme Pro.
